This is a great job opportunity for a CRNA to join an excellent anesthesia team at this Level I Trauma and Burn Center in Arizona. The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist in this role delivers anesthesia ranging from minor to complex surgeries for an adult population at this leading medical center. They assess and prepare patients for anesthesia and manage all aspects of anesthesia care including pre-operative, operative, and post-operative care for surgical patients. This is a full time 8 or 12 hour shift position that includes nights and weekends and offers a very competitive compensation and benefits program. PLEASE NOTE: New graduate CRNAs will be considered for this position.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities of the CRNA Job:
Review medical histories and conduct pre-anesthesia assessments to evaluate adult patients prior to surgery
Collaborate with the anesthesiologist to formulate plans of care
Obtain appropriate informed consents
Manage all aspects of anesthesia care to include pre-operative, perioperative, and immediate post-operative care including pain management
Administer anesthesia drugs and monitor vital signs, patient conditions, and effects of anesthesia during procedures
Conduct post-operative follow-up, assessing post-anesthesia recovery
Provide education and support for patients, families, and the healthcare team
Qualifications
Qualifications for the CRNA Job:
Current and valid Arizona RN and CRNA licenses
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
Strong organizational skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Education Requirements
Education Requirements for the CRNA Job:
A Bachelor's degree in nursing or nurse anesthesiology from an accredited college or university is required for this position
