| Pediatric Nurse Practitioner
If you are a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner with experience in direct pediatric cardiac patient care, consider this great job opportunity with a leading academic children's hospital in their Cardiac Electrophysiology unit. Located in Southern California, this hospital provides expert state-of-the-art care for children and teens with congenital and acquired heart conditions, including arrhythmia, a disorder of the heart rhythm that causes abnormal heart beats. The PNP in this role is a clinical expert in the management and treatment of pediatric and congenital heart patients who are undergoing electrophysiology for diagnosis and treatment of their conditions. This is a full time position with excellent compensation and benefits.
Responsibilities of the PNP Cardiac Electrophysiology Job:
Evaluate patient conditions through obtaining histories and performing physical examinations
Order, perform, and interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests and procedures
Diagnose and treat electrophysiology patients and pre- and post-operative ablation and device implant patients
Manage the implanted cardiac device clinic and the inherited cardiac arrhythmia clinic
Collaborate and consult with multi-disciplinary cardiac teams including cardiac ICU, cardiac surgery, and cardiac outpatient services
Provide education and support for electrophysiology patients and families
Qualifications for the PNP Cardiac Electrophysiology Job:
Current California Nurse Practitioner license and national NP certification
Excellent communication skills
Education Requirements for the PNP Cardiac Electrophysiology Job:
Master's degree in Nursing
