| Neonatal Nurse Practitioner
Bring your experience as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to join the neonatology team at this leading medical center in Maryland. Become part of a supportive environment with a strong APP Leadership structure. As the NNP in this newly renovated, state-of-the-art Level III NICU, you will provide care for newborns of all gestational ages and birth weights, attend deliveries, and perform life-saving resuscitation and other advanced technological procedures. This is a full-time night position in the NICU to include 3- 12hr night shifts per week.
Responsibilities of the NNP in the Level III NICU Job:
Assess patient conditions through histories and physical examinations
Implement appropriate interventions
Care for newborns of all gestational ages and weights
Develop, implement, monitor, and revise plans of care
Implement appropriate interventions including neonatal resuscitation, endotracheal intubation, ventilator management, umbilical catheter placement, central line insertion, high frequency oscillatory ventilation, total body cooling, and nitric oxide inhalation
Provide education and support to NICU families
Qualifications for the NNP in the Level III NICU Job:
Current RN license in the State of Maryland
Current National Neonatal Nurse Practitioner certification
Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
Current CPR certification
Excellent analytical, critical thinking, decision-making, and communication skills
Education Requirements of the NNP in the Level III NICU Job:
Master's degree in Nursing
Completion of an accredited Neonatal Nurse Practitioner program
