Consider bringing your management and leadership experience to join the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit team at this leading academic children's hospital in Florida. As the Advanced Practice Leader in their 97 bed NICU unit, you will collaborate with the Director of Advanced Practice and the Chief Physician in Neonatology to ensure the delivery of safe and compassionate family-centered care for premature and critically-ill infants in the Unit. As a clinical expert and resource, you will oversee and lead the NICU teams as they provide critical care and constant monitoring for NICU infants in the neonatal intensive care unit. This is a full time, days position.
Responsibilities of the APP Leader in the NICU Job:
Direct and manage the NICU staff and their functions, making work assignments, establishing schedules, developing procedures and monitoring work performance
Manage NICU department recruitment and retention functions including interviewing and hiring staff, providing training and professional development opportunities, evaluating work performance and recommending promotions, transfers, merit salary increases or disciplinary action
Assess outcomes of APP care throughout the organization
Ensure that APP state and federal agency regulatory requirements are met
Collaborate with the Director of Advanced Practice to create, support and lead initiatives that improve the work environment of APPs throughout the organization
Participate in organizational meetings and committees
Qualifications for the APP Leader in the NICU Job:
Current ARNP licensure in Florida
Current BLS and PALS/NRP certifications
Current National certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner-Primary Care, Pediatric Nurse Practitioner-Acute Care, or Neonatal Nurse Practitioner
Education Requirements for the APP Leader in the NICU Job:
Clinical Master's or Doctorate Degree in Nursing

Experience Requirements for the APP Leader in the NICU Job:
Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a licensed advanced practice provider in an academic medical center
Minimum of 2 years of management experience
