If you are an experienced Neonatal Nurse Practitioner, we have a great opportunity for you to join the Neonatal Intensive Care team at this leading academic children's hospital in the Upper Midwestern U.S. In collaboration with the neonatologists and neonatal fellows, the Neonatal Nurse Practitioner in this Neonatology role provides specialized neonatology care and monitoring in their Level II, III, and IV NICUs for premature or critically ill infants or those who are recovering from surgery. This is a full-time rotating twelve hour shift position that includes a comprehensive compensation and benefits package including a signon bonus. It is open to new grads with the required NICU experience.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities of the Neonatal Nurse Practitioner NICU Job:
Provide clinical assessment and evaluation
Order, perform and interpret diagnostic laboratory tests and procedures including intubations, PIV, chest tubes, line placements
Develop, implement, and monitor plans of care and treatment
Recommend treatment therapies
Prescribe medications
Participate in transports as a back-up to the primary transport team
Attend deliveries of high risk infants
Provide NICU family education and support
Provide clinical consultation services for emergency and continuing care of premature and critically-ill infants
Qualifications
Qualifications for the Neonatal Nurse Practitioner NICU Job:
Current RN license in Minnesota
Current BLS certification
Current NRP certification
Current NCC certification as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner

Master's degree in Nursing
