If you are a Registered Nurse with managerial experience and certification in Infection Control and Epidemiology, you are a strong candidate for this amazing job opportunity with a leading academic children's hospital in California. With responsibility for the hospital-wide Infection Prevention Program, the RN Manager in this role leads and manages program initiatives and surveillance for infection prevention and control within the organization. This is a full-time, Monday-Friday, 8 am - 5 pm position with 80 hours per pay period that offers a competitive benefits plan with salary based on experience.
Responsibilities of the RN Manager of Infection Prevention Job:
Ensure the safety of all patients, staff and visitors by monitoring the hospital environment for prevention, detection, and control of infection risks
Report communicable diseases to the public health department
Control potential infection risks from various activities within the hospital, including construction
Develop and implement staff education and training programs that support the organization's infection prevention and control program
Assess, evaluate, and amend all hospital infection control policies and procedures
Ensure the Infection Prevention program is in compliance with federal and state regulations
Qualifications for the RN Manager of Infection Prevention Job:
An active California Registered Nurse license, a Clinical Lab Scientist (CLS) license, or other California license in a related clinical field is required
CIC certification (Infection Control and Epidemiology) is required
Education Requirements for the RN Manager of Infection Prevention Job:
A Bachelor's Degree in a related field is required
A Master's Degree is preferred, or a combination of equivalent experience and education
