The PNP in Skin Integrity, Wound Care job is an opportunity to use advanced practice nursing skills to evaluate, treat and order clinical interventions for neonatal and pediatric patients with complex wounds or ostomys.
Responsibilities for the PNP Wound Care Job:
Provide 80% clinical, 15% educational and 5% administrative and research duties that maintain skin integrity of neonatal and pediatric wound care patients
Design, implement, and evaluate programs of care toward enhanced outcomes of wound care patients
Be a leader/consultant/mentor/change agent to advance the practice of nursing
Collaborate with clinicians and colleagues to coordinate and communicate family care and system experiences
Maintain wound ostomy and advanced practice certifications
Attend the yearly WOCN Conference and the Dermatology Nurse Practice Forum
Qualifications for the PNP Would Care Job:
MA/MSN/DNP from an accredited school of nursing, required
Current Minnesota RN license, required
Current PNP or FNP certification, required
Current Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Certification, or be enrolled in an accredited WOC nursing education program, required
Successful completion of the WOC certification exam within 6 months of hire if not already certified, required
Specialty concentration/experience in pediatric dermatology, preferred
