90517 - This is a great new job with a leading academic nursing school on the West Coast of the U.S. as the Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Specialty Care Coordinator for Pediatric Programs. The Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in this job is dual-certified as a Pediatric Primary Care and Acute Care Nurse Practitioner with a strong clinical background in primary and acute care. In addition to clinical responsibilities, the PNP Specialty Care Coordinator develops, implements, evaluates, and improves programs, policies, and procedures and provides education and support for Primary Care and Acute Care Programs.
Responsibilities for the PNP Primary and Acute Care Specialty Program Coordinator:
Assume responsibility for the day-to-day operations of primary and acute care programs
Coordinate the Primary and Acute care and assessment of Pediatric Program patients
Develop, implement, evaluate and improve Primary and Acute Care programs
Work to ensure implementation and monitoring of policies and procedures
Provide training and education opportunities for Pediatric Program nursing staff
Qualifications for the PNP Primary and Acute Care Specialty Program Coordinator:
Dual certification in Pediatric Primary Care and Pediatric Acute Care, required
Strong clinical background in primary and acute care, required
Curriculum development experience, required
Experienced in teaching and working with preceptors, required
Experience with clinical placements, required
