| Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Acute Care
90118 - We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit of this leading academic children's hospital in the Pacific Northwest, working with babies, children, teens and young adults with acquired or congenital cardiac conditions. The PNP in this cardiac role directs or participates in the clinical management of continuing care for patients in the unit.
Perform physical examinations
Order, perform, and interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests
Develop treatment plans
Provide education and support for patients, families and the healthcare team
Consult with other healthcare teams to ensure cardiac patients receive effective, efficient, and safe high quality care leading to desired outcomes
Contribute to continuous performance and quality improvement projects for the department and the organization
Participate in research efforts
Mentor new medical staff
MSN with a concentration in pediatric or family nurse practitioner nursing, required
Current RN and ARNP licenses in the State of Washington, required
Current national certification as a pediatric nurse practitioner or family nurse practitioner, required
Active Drug Enforcement Authority registration, required
Acute care pediatric nurse practitioner preparation and certification, required
Current PALS certification, required
Minimum of one year of pediatric critical care experience, required, two years, preferred
Minimum of one year of pediatric nurse practitioner cardiovascular ICU experience, required, two years, preferred
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, required.
