90492 - There is a great job opportunity for the experienced Physician Assistant to join the Pulmonary, Allergy, and Critical Care Medicine team that provides care for adult pulmonary patients with a wide range of conditions including pulmonary fibrosis, asthma, chronic bronchitis, emphysema, cystic fibrosis, sarcoidosis, lung cancer, sleep apnea, and pulmonary hypertension. The Physician Assistant job is a chance for you to provide comprehensive pulmonary care and services to adult patients including trach/vent patients, those in step down units, and others with chronic respiratory conditions and disorders.
Responsibilities for the Physician Assistant Job
Obtain patient histories and perform physical examinations
Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic laboratory tests and scans
Formulate daily plans of care in collaboration with the attending physician
Coordinate and participate in admissions and discharges
Order and follow up on consults
Provide education and support for patients and families
Special skills and procedures include tracheostomy care, airway clearance devices, ventilator and gastrostomy tube management
Qualifications for the Physician Assistant Job
Graduate of a Master's level accredited educational program for Physician Assistants, required
Current Physician Assistant (PA-C) license in Pennsylvania, required
Current National Physician Assistant certification in Pennsylvania or in another State with reciprocity and licensure to practice in Pennsylvania, required
Physician Assistant Pulmonary experience, preferred
Current CPR, BLS and PALS certifications, required
Minimum of 1 year of physician assistant experience, required
Pulmonary or ICU medicine experience is a plus!
