| Physician Assistant
90450 - The Pediatric Physician Assistant with First Assist ENT experience is a strong candidate to join the Ear, Nose and Throat Surgery team at this leading academic children's hospital in Florida. The Pediatric Physician Assistant on this fast paced ENT Surgery team assists board-certified ENT surgeons as they perform leading edge, technologically advanced procedures for pediatric patients with a broad range of common to more complex disorders that require surgery (including tube placements, head and neck surgeries). This position reports to and is under the supervision of the attending physician.
Provide competent first assist surgical services in the ENT Surgery setting
Obtain pre-operative histories and perform physical examinations
Write admitting, pre-op, post-op and procedure orders for patient care
Evaluate and manage patients
Make hospital rounds with physicians
Perform after hours on-call duties for calls from patients and nursing personnel
Graduate of a Master's level accredited program for Physician Assistants, required
Current certification by the National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants, required
Clear and active Physician Assistant license in the State of Florida, required
Current BCLS, PALS and ACLS certifications, required
Skilled and experienced in obtaining patient histories and performing physical examinations
Minimum of 3 years of Physician Assistant experience, preferably in Pediatrics, required
Experience in Pediatric ENT and ENT Surgery, preferred
