Responsibilities of the Nurse Practitioner in Neurosurgery Job:
Obtain patient histories and perform physical examinations
Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic and laboratory tests, scans, and procedures
Provide direct patient care for complex neurosurgery patients
Provide appropriate treatments, therapies and procedures and make referrals as indicated
Prescribe and monitor medications
Provide patient and family education and support
Qualifications for the Nurse Practitioner in Neurosurgery Job:
Two years of RN work experience, required
Current CRNP license to practice in Pennsylvania, required
Demonstrated, effective skills in consultation, required
Certification as an NP in Neurosurgery, preferred
