| Neonatal Nurse Practitioner
90478 - This job is a great opportunity for a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to join the Neonatal Transport Team at this leading academic children's hospital in the Upper Midwest. As a member of the Transport Team, the Neonatal Nurse Practitioner provides leadership and quality specialized patient care for high risk, critically ill, and premature infants during transfer to the hospital's NICU. The highly motivated, flexible NNP in this role provides NICU coverage when not actively participating in patient transport. Shifts for this job range from 12 to 24 hours, offering the opportunity for a high level of work/life balance.
Responsibilities of the NNP Transport Job
Provide stabilization and emergency care of acutely ill neonates during transport
Assess and evaluate condition of neonates being transferred, pre-hospital and in hospital
Order, perform and interpret diagnostic laboratory tests and procedures including intubations, chest tubes, PICC lines
Develop, monitor and evaluate plans of care
Recommend treatment therapies
Provide family education and support
Provide clinical consultation services to other healthcare providers
Qualifications for the NNP Transport Job
Current RN license in Minnesota, required
Current BLS certification, required
Current NRP certification, required
Current NCC certification as a neonatal nurse practitioner, required
Two (2) years of Level III NICU experience, preferred
