90479 - If you are an experienced Neonatal Nurse Practitioner, we have a great job opportunity for you to join the Neonatal Intensive Care team at this leading academic children's hospital in the Upper Midwestern U.S. The Neonatal Nurse Practitioners in this Neonatology role provide various levels of neonatology care in their 62 bed Level II/III NICU for critically ill and premature newborns that require specialized care and hospitalization. The NNP is responsible for providing direct patient care for these newborn infants. This is a full-time rotating 10-12 hour shift position, open to new grads and eligible for a signon bonus.

Responsibilities for the Neonatal Nurse Practitioner job:
Provide clinical assessment and evaluation
Order, perform and interpret diagnostic laboratory tests and procedures including intubations, PIC, chest tubes, line placements
Develop and monitor plans of care
Recommend treatment therapies
Attend high risk, emergency C-section and premature deliveries
Participate in transports as a back-up to the primary transport team
Provide family education and support
Provide clinical consultation services to other healthcare providers
Qualifications for the Neonatal Nurse Practitioner job:
Current RN license in Minnesota
Current BLS certification
Current NRP certification, required
