90557 - Consider this new job as the Nurse Practitioner Hospitalist in this 212 bed general medical and surgical hospital that is affiliated with a leading academic medical center in Pennsylvania. The Nurse Practitioner Hospitalist in this job is an expert practitioner who provides direct medical inpatient care to patients whose conditions require hospitalization. The strong candidate for this full time job is a nurse practitioner with at least one year of experience in an acute care setting. Exceptional new NP graduates will also be considered. There are no nights for this Nurse Practitioner Hospitalist job; hours are 7-3 with call from 3-5 on scheduled days.
Responsibilities of the Nurse Practitioner Hospitalist Job:
Obtain histories and perform physical examinations
Order, conduct and interpret diagnostic tests and treatments
Formulate plans of care with the attending physician
Prescribe appropriate treatment and medications
Provide education and support for patients and their families regarding diagnosis and ongoing care
Qualifications for the Nurse Practitioner Hospitalist Job:
MSN from an accredited college or university, required
Successful completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program, required
Current RN licensure in Pennsylvania, required
Current CRNP license with prescriptive authority in Pennsylvania, required
Current BLS certification, required
