90559 - This is a great job for the experienced Nurse Practitioner to work with patients with Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) conditions in the outpatient clinic setting of this leading academic medical center. This job has no inpatient or call responsibilities. The Nurse Practitioner in this ENT job collaborates with physician clinics in addition to their own scheduled clinics to provide direct outpatient specialty care and followup of ENT patients and their families. This Nurse Practitioner primarily sees adult ENT patients, but there are some pediatric ENT patient visits as well. This is a full time, days job with 8-10 hour shifts. Responsibilities of the Nurse Practitioner in ENT Job:
Obtain patient histories and perform physical examinations
Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic and laboratory tests
Develop plans of care
Perform office procedures such as skin and mucosal biopsies, endoscopy of the nose and throat, and other appropriate treatments and therapies (on the job training available for building these skills)
Prescribe and monitor medications
Initiate referrals and follow up on consultations
Provide patient and family education and support
Qualifications for the Nurse Practitioner in ENT Job:
Current CRNP license and certification to practice in Pennsylvania
Demonstrated, effective skills in consultation
