90489 - Consider this new NP & PA Leadership Job to become the Nurse Manager of the Advanced Practice Clinician staff in the Emergency Department of this leading academic hospital in the Mid-Atlantic region of the U.S. Supervising and managing the Advanced Practice Clinician staff, the Nurse Practitioner Manager in this leadership job facilitates, coordinates, and directs patient care services to ensure the effective functioning and delivery of high quality, effective, and cost efficient patient care in the Emergency Department. They are responsible for the daily HR functions, scheduling, and deployment of the APC staff.
Responsibilities of the NP & PA Manager Job
Provide hands-on patient care in the Emergency Department
Recruit, hire, and retain qualified Advanced Practice Clinician staff
Coordinate staff scheduling and deployment of APC staff
Monitor staff performance and provide effective training and educational opportunities for staff development
Ensure the orientation program leads to the effective onboarding of new staff members
Implement short and long term goals that maximize emergency patient care efficiencies and productivity
Maintain current knowledge of compliance and regulatory standards
Be a mentor and role model for advanced practice nursing excellence
Qualifications for the NP & PA Manager Job
Master's prepared Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner, CRNP, or Physician Assistant required
Five years of advanced practice clinician/provider experience in an acute care hospital setting, required
Appropriate CRNP or PA certification, required
Current active licensure to practice in Pennsylvania, required
Experience in Emergency Medicine, preferred
Progressive leadership skills and supervisory experience, preferred
Well-versed in the licensure, scope of practice, certification and training requirements of advanced practice providers, required
Knowledge of policies and practices related to recruitment, work standards, and performance, required
