90538 - Consider this new job for a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, NICU, of this leading academic children's hospital providing care for critically ill and premature newborns. The Neonatal Nurse Practitioner in the 42 bed Level IV NICU uses their education, experience, special training, and clinical judgment to provide in-house, 24.7 coverage, coordinating, providing, and managing comprehensive care for infants with acute or complex medical or surgical conditions.
This Neonatal Nurse Practitioner job in the NICU includes a comprehensive compensation and benefits program. Responsibilities of the Neonatal Nurse Practitioner job:
Obtain admission histories and perform physicals
Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic and screening tests
Order appropriate treatments, therapies and procedures
Develop, monitor, and revise plans of care
Initiate referrals and follow up on consults to other healthcare providers
Provide education and support for NICU families
Provide formal and informal educational programs for residents, nurses, students and other health care professionals
Participate in quality improvement and strategic planning initiatives of the NICU and the organization
Qualifications for the Neonatal Nurse Practitioner job:
Current CRNP license to practice as a CRNP by Pennsylvania Board of Nurse Examiners
Current national advanced practice nurse certification
Acute critical care certification focus, preferred
