Responsibilities for the Neonatal Nurse Practitioner job:
Critical evaluation of newborns in the unit
Provide clinical management under the direction of the attending neonatologist
Assessment, development, and implementation of plans (writing orders and performing procedures), evaluation and documentation
Additional roles include providing education and support to patient families, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams on plans of care and providing staff education and clinical consultation to the interdisciplinary team.
Qualifications for the Neonatal Nurse Practitioner job:
License to practice professional nursing in Pennsylvania
License as a certified registered nurse practitioner (CRNP) in Pennsylvania
National certification as a Nurse Practitioner in pediatric nursing
Prescriptive Authority in Pennsylvania (upon hire)
