| Neonatal Nurse Practitioner
90007 - Consider using your special training, skills and experience caring for critically ill patients in the Neonatal Intensive Care setting to join this NICU team in their 44 bed Level III.IV unit. The Neonatal Nurse Practitioner in this role is responsible for direct patient family centered care for the tiniest and sickest newborn infants in the Level III.IV unit. The unit is equipped with ECMO, nitric oxide, high frequency ventilation and other cutting edge treatments and therapies for recovering newborns.

Responsibilities for the Neonatal Nurse Practitioner job:
Obtain patient histories and perform physical examinations
Order, perform and interpret diagnostic and therapeutic tests and procedures
Prescribe pharmacologic and non pharmacologic interventions
Perform therapeutic or corrective measures to treat illness and improve health condition
Provide education and support for patients and their families
Collaborate with the cardiology and healthcare teams to ensure best possible care and service
Participate in research program design, implementation and interpretation
Qualifications for the Neonatal Nurse Practitioner job:
APN licensure in the State of Illinois
BLS and PALS certification
Excellent interpersonal and basic computer skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
