| Clinical Registered Nurse Anesthetist
90393 - Consider joining the surgical team at this leading academic children's hospital as the Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist, CRNA, providing anesthesia coverage for infants, children, adolescents and some adult patients in collaboration with the multidisciplinary health team. The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist job is under the direct supervision of a faculty or staff physician anesthesiologist.
Conduct preoperative evaluation assessment
Plan appropriate anesthetic technique in consultation with the attending anesthesiologist
Prepare appropriate equipment for anesthesia administration
Administer anesthesia, monitoring vital signs and recording patient condition during and following administration
Conduct postoperative followup care until patient is moved to the PACU
Visit with the patient within 24-48 hours to assess post-anesthetic recovery
Participate in anesthesia call coverage
Participate and/or direct and facilitate research projects
Participate in professional development programs and pursue opportunities for professional growth
BSN, required; MSN, preferred
Current BLS, PALS and/or ACLS certification, or eligible
Current nursing registration in the State of Ohio
Certificate of Authority to practice in the State of Ohio as a CRNA bu the Ohio Board of Nursing
Current or recent certification as a nurse anesthetist by the Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists (CCNA)
Must meet educational requirements of the Council on Accreditation of the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists
