90082 - The Clinical Nurse Specialist with advanced nursing skills and experience in treating pediatric heart patients is a strong candidate for this opportunity with a leading academic children's hospital on the West coast of the U.S. The Clinical Nurse Specialist in the Heart Center cares for infants, children and adolescents with congenital and acquired heart disease. The CNS in the Heart Center is an expert clinician and resource with many roles including educator, consultant, change agent and researcher.

Responsibilities for the Clinical Nurse Specialist job:
Assess, diagnose evaluate, triage and treat cardiac patients
Develop and monitor patient plans of care
Provide comforting, therapeutic, restorative and preventive nursing care for cardiology patients
Provide direct evaluation and consultation to patients and their families
Identify and implement competency based staff education
Provide education and support for patients and families
Participate in planning, development, execution and evaluation of clinical research
Participate in quality improvement planning for the Heart Center and the entire organization
Qualifications for the Clinical Nurse Specialist job:
Current, active RN and CNS certification by the California Board of Registered Nursing
