90490 - Consider this new job opportunity to become the Nurse Manager of the Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant Clinician staff in the Hematology Oncology Department of this leading academic hospital in the Mid-Atlantic region of the U.S. Supervising and managing the Advanced Practice Clinician staff, the Nurse Manager in this leadership role facilitates, coordinates, and directs patient care services to ensure the effective functioning and delivery of high quality, effective, and cost efficient patient care in the Hematology Oncology Department. They are responsible for the daily HR functions, scheduling, and deployment of NPs and PAs.
Responsibilities the Manager of NPs and PAs Job:
Provide hands-on patient care in the Hematology Oncology Department
Recruit, hire, and retain qualified Advanced Practice Clinician staff
Coordinate staff scheduling and deployment of APC staff
Monitor staff performance and provide effective training and educational opportunities for staff development
Ensure the orientation program leads to the effective onboarding of new staff members
Implement short and long term goals that maximize Hematology Oncology patient care efficiencies and productivity
Maintain current knowledge of compliance and regulatory standards
Be a mentor and role model for advanced practice nursing excellence
Qualifications the Manager of NPs and PAs Job:
Master's prepared Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner, CRNP, required
Two years of advanced practice clinician/provider experience in Hematology/Oncology, required
Appropriate CRNP certification, required
Current active licensure to practice in Pennsylvania, required
Progressive leadership skills and supervisory experience, preferred
Well-versed in the licensure, scope of practice, certification and training requirements of advanced practice providers, required
Knowledge of policies and practices related to recruitment, work standards, and performance, required
