Bring your pediatric critical care nursing experience to assume clinical and administrative leadership responsibilities as the Lead Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) of this leading academic children's hospital located in Central Florida. The Lead Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in this Pediatric Intensive Care management role has 24 hour accountability for the clinical and administrative activities, coordinating services across the PICU department. They ensure critically ill or injured children with diverse medical and surgical conditions receive safe, efficient, and cost effective critical care.
Provide coverage, coordinate and manage delivery of care for infants, children, adolescents and young adults in the PICU
Supervise Pediatric Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants
Coach, develop and manage the work environment for advanced practice providers at the program level
Create and implement skills training, competency and educational programs that meet department and organization goals
Coordinate clinical orientation and provide professional development opportunities for the PICU team
Initiate referrals and provide consultation services to other healthcare providers
Three years of PNP work experience in a pediatric critical care setting, required
Current RN and ARNP licensures in the State of Florida, required
Current national pediatric nurse practitioner certification, required
Active Drug Enforcement Authority registration, required
Current PALS certification, required
Experience in a leadership role, required
Program development experience, required
